63rd International Human Rights Day-2011 Observance Report of Proships
Disable persons are Demand for Extra StandingCommittee formation under Local government of Union Parishad Due to Rights ofParticipation in Development and decisions making process.
ProtibandhiShishu Shiekkha O Paricharja Samity (Proships) organize program on 63rdInternational human rights day observation 2011 at with a discussion meetingand mass gathering at Upazilla Public auditorium and Premises of DewangonjUpazilla Parishad of Jamalpur district.
UpazillaNIrbahi officer (UNO) present as chief guest and Upazilla vice Chairman presentas special guest and Begum Rokeya Sarder upazilla Vice Chairman preside overthe discussion meeting. Numbers of 400 hundred Person with disabilities(Parents of CWDs , self help Groups member and members of rights promotioncommittee)took part in the program.
Womenwith Disabilities self help group Chairperson Ms.Runa Akhter (Physicalhandicap) and Abdus Salam (Visual Impaired) are speech delivery in thediscussion meeting. They are present recommendation and speech delivery ontheir human rights promoting and protect their dignity in the community.
Afterdiscussion meetings total participants are creating human chain for formationExtra Standing Committee formation under Local government of Union Parishad Dueto Rights of Participation in Development and decisions making process and theyare collect mass signature with the ratification of their demands andmemorandum submission to the Upazilla Nirbahi officer (UNO) and UpazillaChairman Offices.
