accessibility in Thailand -Topong Kulkhanchit

Dear Friends;
There are both progress and retrogration on accessibility in Thailand. DPI Asia-Pacific has helped disability movement in Thailand for a while. Below are some recent news from newspaper.

Group of PWDs visited the Int'l airport and found it is barrier-full, not barrier-free.
On Dec. 29, National Disability Alliance submitted urgent letters to the government. expressing great concern on accessibility in new international airport.
Bangkok Governor is assuring that all sidewalks in Bangkok will be accessible within 2006.

Dear friends from Thailand,

Accessibility is a key factor for a barrier free society. I am happy to know you are doing your best about this issue. I am trying to make Chile (my country)a barrier free one.
